Serracor The Neprinol Knockoff

History of Serracor
In the past, we at Arthur Andrew Medical, the makers of Neprinol used several raw material suppliers to make our products, which included Specialty Enzymes in Chino, CA. After years of doing business with Specialty Enzymes, they left a very unfavorable impression with us. We severed business ties with them and sought other suppliers to replace their Serrapeptase and Nattokinase blend SEBkinase.

As a result of this departure from Specialty Enzymes, they decided to test their marketing capabilities by creating a knockoff product that they claim is the original Neprinol formula.  This new enzyme formula, no matter how close to the original Neprinol formula it is, still has some of the flaws that we felt our original Neprinol formula had.  Now let me clarify, the original Neprinol formula was a great formula, but it was just that, the original formula.  Since then, we have conducted clinical analysis of these enzymes and have been able to carefully engineer a far superior formula. Compare this process to say Mercedes-Benz, who has an excellent product year-in and year-out, but always finds ways to improve their product one year to the next. The current Neprinol formula is far superior in strength to Serracor, and Specialty Enzymes even admitted to that in a statement published on their own website.  In response to this testing, they claim that even though Neprinol was shown to be stronger than Serracor, it is inferior, simply because it wasn't made by their "experts". This is an absurdly ridiculous and far-fetched statement.

How it differs from Neprinol
Neprinol has been a leading systemic enzyme on the market since its inception.  Specialty Enzymes claims that they are producing the original Neprinol formula, now called Serracor, but are using our Neprinol trademark to market it.  One obvious flaw in their marketing is that they simply seem to be incapable of marketing their product without reference to our product.

We constantly wonder, "why would you want to use our old 2004 formula?"... the only answer at this point is simple, they are incapable of coming up with their own marketing angle. Neprinol boasts several improvements since leaving Specialty Enzymes. One change that has improved delivery has been the removal of the enteric coating that was applied to the Serrapeptase, which Specialty Enzymes boasts as one of their primary features.  An independent test from an unrelated manufacturer ran what we call the Battery Acid Test on Neprinol and Serracor in an attempt to demonstrate the superiority of their product's delivery systemIn this test the enzymes were subjected to acid that is very similar in pH to battery acid. As any intelligent person knows, the digestive process when taken as directed is not as extreme as these tests depicted.  By the tests measure, the supposed enteric coating of Serracor yielded a 97% decrease in overall enzyme activity, while Neprinol without any coating only lost 88%.  While this test was absurdly ridiculous, it did show the flaws in their idea that this coating was protecting their enzymes from acid.  The results showed that Neprinol under the same conditions maintained more potency than the supposed enteric coated powder from Specialty Enzymes.

Specialty Enzymes claims that Serrapeptase is extremely vulnerable to stomach acid so they apply an "enteric coating". They either have a faulty coating process or it is ineffective since the uncoated Neprinol powder withstood the acidity moreso than their "protected" powder. In addition, Specialty Enzymes now claims to enteric coat Nattokinase in their Serracor product, another argument against the claim that it is the same formula as our old Neprinol. Nattokinase has been sold for a substantially long time and has never been enteric coated. Nowhere in any of the Japanese clinical studies conducted on Nattokinase has it ever been enteric coated.  In fact, natto-food is eaten on a daily basis by many in Japan, a natural source of the enzyme nattokinase. There are tens of thousands of Japanese natto-food consumers that will attest to how useful the enzyme is in their life, and they are getting the enzyme from a food source, which by nature is not coated with chemicals. It certainly appears that the enteric coating of the Sebkinase within Serracor is done as a marketing tactic rather than a true beneficial feature to the product.

Lastly, according to Specialty Enzymes, our old Neprinol formula apparently contained a BPPS delivery system, something they claim is far advanced compared to other enzymes on the market. Supposedly this BPPS technology was used in the original Neprinol formula, despite the fact that a quick trademark search reveals it wasn't even invented or used in commerce until 2008 (Neprinol was launched in 2004). This seems to contradict their stance that the formula is exactly the same as our old Neprinol formula in the first place, but regardless, we again ask "why is this so important"? It is simply so that they can continue misleading clients about the current superior Neprinol formulation by continuing to market their product as "original" Neprinol. Most of our clients at this point never even experienced the previous version of Neprinol, so do not be fooled by their marketing ploys, gimmicks and misleading statements.

Why Neprinol is superior
Hands down it's stronger, meaning you're getting more per capsule. It also does not contain an ineffective enteric coating. What we offer is a natural, non-chemical solution by utilizing Acid Armor capsules. These capsules are simply dense cellulose that withstand acid for longer periods than traditional cellulose capsules. This way, our entire product is offered the little protection that it needs in order to pass the digestive process without activity loss.
